Robert Weinreb, MD
Dr Weinreb is the author of 400+ peer reviewed publications. His clinical and research interests are diverse and include glaucoma surgery, optic neuropathy and aging of the eye, cell and molecular biology of uveoscleral outflow, imaging of the optic disc and retinal nerve fiber layer, mechanisms of optic nerve damage in glaucoma, neuroprotection of glaucoma, and cataract surgery.
D. Weinreb has served as President of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (2002-2003), President of the World Glaucoma Association (WGA) (2004-2006) and President of the American Glaucoma Society (2007 – 2009). He is the current President of the American Glaucoma Society Foundation and the President-Elect of the Pan American Glaucoma Society.
