Uwe Pleyer

Prof. Pleyer is the author of 240 peer-reviewed articles as well as 14 textbooks; Editor of Ophthalmic Research. His research interests include the experimental and clinical immune modulation of inflammatory ocular disorders, gene therapy, immune mechanism, immune pharmacology, keratoplasty and uveitis.

He has received several honours and awards including the International Chibret Award

Prof. Pleyer is affiliated with numerous societies, including: Founding member of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS); Member of the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER); Member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS); and Member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
