JENVIS Dry Eye Report: The new standard in dry eye analysis

Published: 15 October 2015

Exclusively developed for the OCULUS Keratograph, the new JENVIS Dry Eye Report sets new standards in screening for dry eye syndrome. The JENVIS Dry Eye Report supports optometrists/ophthalmologists in diagnosing dry eye.

A complete JENVIS Dry Eye Report summarizes all the data from a dry eye questionnaire (OSDI, McM), a slit lamp measurement of LIPCOF (lid-parallel conjunctival folds) and four measurements performed with the OCULUS Keratograph 5M. These comprise an analysis of the degree of bulbar redness using R-Scan, measurements of tear meniscus height and tear film break-up time and a meibography. Other commonly used screening methods such as eye blink frequency or lipid layer analysis also run on the Keratograph 5M and can be easily added.

Customers can add their company logo to the patient’s printout of the JENVIS Dry Eye Report. In addition to the measurement results the report contains recommendations specific to the patient as well as an explanation of abbreviations and technical terms. This comprehensive dry eye screening package places a major emphasis on patient engagement.

Founded in 2005, JENVIS is an independent research institute located in Jena, Germany. The institute is directly connected to the Department of Optometry at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena. Their main focus is performing impartial and unprejudiced research studies.
